CMR FILES RESPONSE IN SUPPORT OF MOTION FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT

On March 28 CMR attorneys responded to documents filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia by feminist attorney Susan Barnes. In litigation filed against CMR in 1996, Barnes accused CMR of ending the already-failing career of former pilot Carey D. Lohrenz by exposing double standards in her F-24 training. In her latest filing, Barnes filed several declarations signed by former F-14 instructors and supervisors, plus one that was unsigned, which lend questionable support her case. In response, CMR cited sworn testimony given by the same officers in the Navy’s 1998 Air Wing Eleven Investigation, which flatly contradict what the "declarants" are claiming now. Watch for details soon on www.cmrlink.org.
